Annapurna Ghorepani Trek

There are a number of choice, short treks in the foothills to the North of Pokhara. Most of these deviations will visit Ghorepani and Ghandruk. Ghorepani is just below the famed vantage point of Poonhill, one of the best spots to see the views of central Nepal Himalayan panorama.

Highlights of the Trek

Ghorepani, Poonhill (spot to see the views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Lamjung ranges as well as sunrise), Ghandruk, Dhampus village with distinctive tribes. Rhododendron forest with wild monkeys, spotted deer and many birds.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu; transfer to the Hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley
Day 03: Drive/fly to Pokhara
Day 04: Drive to Nayapool and start trek to Tikhedhunga/Ulleri
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani
Day 06: Climb up to Poonhill (early in the morning to see the Himalayan panorama and sunrise views) and trek to Tadapani
Day 07: Trek to Ghandrung (village of Gorkha warriors)
Day 08: Trek to Deurali/Pothana
Day 09: Trek to Phedi and drive back to Pokhara
Day 10: Exploring Pokhara valley
Day 11: Drive/fly back to Kathmandu
Day 12: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 13: Departure on your own destination.
